WICE Earth Day Photograph Contest

To mark earth day 2008, WICE are holding a Photograph Contest to capture the natural beauty and landscape of our community. (Earth Day is a name used to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earths environment and is held across the north hemisphere each spring, this year on April 22.)

The overall winner from the children and adult entries will then have another photo opportunity, from high above the Whitechapel and Inglewhite area with Nick Cutler who has offered to provide a local light aircraft flight for the winners.

There will be three categories:

Enjoying the environment
Protecting the environment
Nature and wildlife

We are looking to display entries at the WICE Spring Ball and announce the winners on the evening.

WICE would like to use the photo entries to promote WICE activities and projects, and where appropriate in the use of fund raising.

Entries can be made on digital or film but must be submitted by midnight on 21st April. All entries will be uploaded to the WICE website on April 22 (Earth Day).

To submit your entries, either email to wicephotocontest@gmail.com or hand in printed or film entries to school on the 21st. Please ensure your entries have your name and contact information, the category you are entering and whether child or adult.

So, get out the brownie, clean the lens and, happy snapping ....

Any questions or queries can be posted here - and we will respond through this blog.

and finally, for now, - a big thank you from WICE to Nick for the wonderful offer of the local flights.
