What a cracker

Another brilliant Field Day at Whitechapel and Inglewhite on Saturday. Despite a short rain shower during the start of the fancy dress event, the weather held out for a great afternoon of track races, the cross country race and a fun adult 'super hero' relay.

Following the races the community tea was well attended by approx 200 people who saw an audio visual presentation of the afternoons achievements and trophies awarded to the winners. All received a merit medal.

The evening was rounded off with a family disco with the Great Aldini in the village Hall.

It is now a well established tradition that the event is funded by the community 'collection' prior to the day. Once again the organisers and all who enjoyed the day are grateful for the generosity of the community in supporting the event.

The present organising committee, having introduced a number of new ideas over their five year life, are now looking for new people to get involved to take the field day forward. If interested, come along to the field day review meeting in the Green Man on July 21st at 7.30pm
